Development of Non-governmental Higher Education as Being a Historical Inevitable Choice

在中国共产党成立90周年的日子里,来回顾党对民办(私立)教育,特别是高等教育的政策取向,进行系统的梳理,回顾我党在革命、建设和改革时期的民办(私立)教育的理论与实践,总结我党发展民办高等教育的历史经验,评述我党在民办高等教育发展中的重大贡献。同时也预示着中国民办高等教育在我党的领导下必然会不断壮大、蓬勃发展。

This paper provides a systematic analysis of the policy orientation of the Chinese Communist Party in the past 90 years towards non-governmental （private） education, and especially higher education. The theory and practice of the party towards non-governmental （private） education during the revolution, construction and reform periods are reviewed. The historic experi- ence of the party＇ s development of non-governmental higher education is summarized and its significant contributions are de- scribed. It indicates that under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party non-governmental higher education in China is bound to continue to grow and flourish.
