摘要 When people speak of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, the following names and images will come to their minds:the chains of mountains;the wild rivers;the majestic Hengduan Mountains;the famous song about Mount Erlang;the even more famous Kangding Love Song;how the Red Army captured Luding Bridge over the Dadu River during the Long March;and how the heroic Eighteenth Army marched into Tibet while building a road on the way... In the past 3 decades,I travelled on the Sichuan-Tibet Highway for four times, either in passing or on a special assignment.Along the highway, there are 14 mountains which are all over 4000 meters high above sea level. The highway goes across Jinsha River,Lancang River, and Nu River. There is the unforgettable"102"landslide group section in Tongmai, and the Nu River canyon which is well known for its steepness.Last but not the least, there is the Ra-og Tso Lake,my favorite small plateau lake, the crown pearl of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway. When people speak of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, the following names and images will come to their minds: the chains of mountains; the wild rivers; the majestic Hengduan Mountains; the famous song about Mount Erlang; the even more famous Kangding Love Song; how the Red Army captured Luding Bridge over the Dadu River during the Long March; and how the heroic Eighteenth Army marched into Tibet while building a road on the way.
