In ancient Chinese civilization, the tea is the top one among those connecting to the rest of the world via culture paths and influencing the habits and behaviors of today's people. As a result, tea trade appeared,as well as the corresponding transportation path"tea road".Based on adequate surveys and research, distribution of tea roads and the development and fading of towns and villages along tea roads are analyzed in this article,in reference to international assessment standards for culture path.In particular,a systematic architectural study of the styles, categories, and functionalities of towns, villages, houses, tea shops, tea factories, stations, and religious buildings along the tea road within Hubei province are presented in this article,to provide a new vision on this architectural heritance across Asia and Europe. Meanwhile from the angle of culture development and protection, some suggestions are made for seemingly unrelated but actually correlated architectural heritance.
