Duan Yu-cai made some rectification on Xiaozhuan and Guwen font of Shuowen Jiezi in Annotation on Shuowen Jiezi. This paper explores its gains and losses of the reformulation by analyzing the cases that are modified by Duan Yu-cai, such as ＂Shang＂ （上）, ＂She＂（社）, ＂nao＂（瑁）, ＂Ci＂ （词）,＂Yao＂（要） and ＂Nie＂（ 羍）＂
