Mononychellus tanajoa Bondar, one of the most serious pests in Cassava planting areas, was one of the most important quarantine pests worldwide. In this paper, the areas with suitable climate conditions for the M.tanajoa survival were predicted using MaxEnt software, based on which, the worldwide potential geographic distribution of the M.tanajoa were predicted combinging the parastisu distribution. The results showed that among 104 cassava planting countries or regions, except the north Africa and part areas of Asian, the suitable survival values of the M.tanajoa are all above 10,defined as the potential geographic distribution of the M.tanajoa.Thus,enhancing the investigation and monitoring of the M.tanajoa in these areas has great effect on the local Cassava planting.
