古典文学现代研究的重要创获——任访秋先生文学史遗著二种校读记

A Major Contribution to the Studies of Classical Chinese Literature——The Collator's Notes for two Posthumous Books on Literary History by Ren Fangqiu

著名文学史家任访秋先生的两部文学史遗著《中国文学史讲义》和《中国文学批评史述要》,经过校订和整理,最近即将由河南大学出版社出版。这两部文学史著撰写于上世纪三四十年代,它们不仅代表了任先生当年最好的学术水平,而且就当时国内古典文学研究的整体水准而言,也允称有大见识之佳作,其过人的创见与辩证的史识,至今仍具有启人深思的参考价值;至其局限与问题,则与新文化思潮和现代学术之新的傲慢与偏颇之通病相关,后来者亦应有所反思和总结。

Having been collated and compiled,The Lectures on Chinese Literary History,and A Short History of Chinese Literary Criticism,two posthumous works by distinguished literary historian Ren Fangqiu,are forthcoming published by Henan University Press.The two books,composed in the 1930-40＇s,not only represent Ren＇s academic calibers in his early years but also outshine the peer＇s studies of classical Chinese literature at that time;and furthermore,their insightful articulations will inspire contemporary scholars in the relevant field.As for as the limitations and problems are concerned,according to the collator,they have the common problems that arrogant and bias with the New Culture thoughts and modern scholarship;in view of this,therefore,the subsequent scholars may reflect on and learn a lesson from them.
