来华耶稣会士明兴礼与中国现代文学研究

The Jesuit Missionary Monsterleet and his Research on Modern Chinese Literature

论文基于对原始资料的收集,以明兴礼为个案,较为深入地探讨了来华传教士对中国现代文学的研究。作为来华传教士研究中国文学的杰出代表,明兴礼不但对中国现代文学有整体性的研究,也对现代作家特别是巴金有专门的研究。前者主要体现为专著《中国当代文学的顶峰》,后者主要体现为专著《巴金的生活和著作》。这些研究具有相当的理论深度和专业水准,在一定程度上也丰富了汉学研究的成果。

With a study of the historical data, the paper gives an incisive analysis of the research on modern Chinese literature by China-staying Western missionaries represented by Monsterleet. Monsterleet had not only a comprehensive study of modern Chinese literature embodied in his Summit of Modern Chinese Literature but aslo made much contribution to the studies on Ba-Jin embodied in his Ba-Jin＇s Life and Works, which have much theoretical significance and represent a high level of Sinology.
