摘要
细菌小RNA(sRNA)是一类长度在50~500 nt的调控RNA,主要通过与靶标mRNA以不完全配对方式结合来发挥调控作用,sRNA参与细菌基因的转录、翻译、mRNA稳定、成熟和加工等多个过程,因此,sRNA的发现及功能注释对了解细菌的致病机制至关重要。该文将对研究sRNA的各种计算机和实验方法进行综述,阐述各种方法的优缺点,并讨论今后的发展方向。
Bacterial small RNAs(sRNA) are a class of regulatory RNAs,50~500 nt in length.They mainly play a regulatory role through imperfect base pairing with target mRNA,including gene transcription and translation,mRNA stability,and mRNA maturity.Therefore,discovery and functional annotation of sRNA is of great importance for understanding bacterial pathogenesis.This paper will provide a comprehensive review on the computational and experimental methods of identifying small RNAs,discusses their advantages and disadvantages,and point out the trends for future study.
