In the era of globalization, the penetration of culture values has become a new situation for college English teaching because of blend,communication and the confrontation among different cultures. The task of maintaining ideological security highlights the value of ideological and political education on college English teaching. College English teachers should improve cultural safety awareness, attach importance to developing the ideological education resources in English culture,actively penetrate ideological and political education and guide the college students to learn English by themselves.
