语言和文化密不可分,学习外语就必须要了解这门语言所承载的文化。因此,在英语教学中,教师既要重视语言知识的传授,又要注重文化知识的传授。从语言与文化的关系、英语教学中文化导入的重要性、原则等方面作一探析,同时给出了一些提高学生跨文化意识的对策。

language and culture are inseparable.It is necessary to understand the host culture of the language for leaner.Therefore,an English teacher should teach not only language knowledge but also cultural knowledge in the English class.The paper explores the relationship between language and culture,the importance and principles of introducing cultural knowledge to the English class.The paper then puts forward some countermeasures on improving student＇s cross-cultural awareness.
