OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy and safety of methylcobalamin combined with sdvice mitiorrhgce, liguspyragme hydrochloride and glucose injection for diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).METHODS:78 patients from May 2010 to Feb 2011 with DPN were randomly assigned into control group and treatment group with 39 cases in each group.Patients in control group were given Methylcobalamin injection 1 mg intravenous drip once a day,and patients in the treatment group were given sdvice mitiorrhgce, liguspyragme hydrochloride and glucose injection 200 mL once a day for 14 days on the basis of treatment of control group. The treatment of them lasted for 2 courses. The blood glucose level, urine protein, serum creatinine, hemorheology indicators, nerve conductive velocity(NVC) of the tibial nerve and the common peroneal nerve were measured before and after treatment.RESULTS:The clinical efficacy and clinical symptoms improvement of treatment group both were better than those of control group(P0.05);hemorheology indicators and NVC of the tibial nerve and the common peroneal nerve in treatment group were improved significantly after treatment(P0.01),while there was no significant change in control group(P0.05).There was no significant adverse drug reaction found.CONCLUSION:Methylcobalamin combined with sdvice mitiorrhgce, liguspyragme hydrochloride and glucose injection has a synergistic effect on diabetic peripheral neuropathy, which is better than methylcobalamin alone, and has no obvious side effect.
