Several important foreign Ontology construction methods, including IDEFS, skeleton method, TOVE, METHONTOLOGY, cyclic acquisition process, five-step cycle method, are analyzed in this paper. Many aspects of these Ontology construction methods are reviewed, including feature, deficiency, applied field and instruction significance for practice. The common problems and deficient aspects are also discussed by comparison.
