新闻媒体在推进廉洁社会建设中的功能主要包括,作为资讯中心,掌控廉洁社会建设的话语权;作为监督渠道,成为惩防不公平、缺正义等社会腐败的催化剂;作为舆情载体,反映社情民意的风向标;作为文化信使,担当廉洁理念的传道者,其重要作用日渐突出。但同时也存在一些消极作用,如传播社会公正问题信息失真,舆论导向存在偏差,以及监督效果不理想等,制约了廉洁文化的弘扬和传播。着眼发挥新闻媒体积极作用,抑制其负面影响,需把握关键,处理好"领导"与"协作"、"引导"与"迎合"、"内容"与"形式"、"关切"与"回应"等关系,积极整合力量、改进方法、完善机制,以更好地借助新闻媒体力量和优势推进廉洁社会建设。

The functions that news media exerts over promoting the construction of a corruption-free society mainly include the following aspects： as an information center,news media has a say in the building of a corruption-free society;as a means of supervision,it serves as the catalyst for the punishment and prevention from social corruption like inequity and a lack of justice;as a carrier of public sentiment,it reflects social conditions and public opinion;as a cultural messenger,it transmits the conception of probity.Despite its ever-increasing importance,news media also exerts some negative influences like transmitting unreal message for spreading social equity,declination in directing public opinion and unsatisfactory monitoring results.To develop its positive influence,restrain its negative effects,it is needed to grasp the key points,to handle well the relationship between leading and cooperating,guiding and catering,content and form,concerning and responding,and it is needed to actively integrate all kinds of strength,to refine methods,and to perfect mechanism.The strength and advantages of news media can thus be better used to carry forward the construction of a corruption-free society.
