文学与文章的含义在先秦时期非常复杂,经历了一个长期发展演变过程后,到六朝才基本趋于固定。早期的文学具有博学、道德修养、儒学、儒士、官职等含义,后来发展为属文著述;文章则具有花纹、装饰品、礼乐制度、文字等义,六朝时基本固定为文学作品。这一由博返约的发展过程,正是文学走向自觉的历程。

The meanings of literature and article are very complex in the pre-Qin times.It has gone through a long process of evolution,and it became an established form in the Six Dynasties.The early meanings of literature contain learning,morality,Confucianism,Confucian and official titles,etc.It was later developed into writing an article.The meanings of article have pattern,decorations,ritual system and writing.Then,it was fixed to literature int he Six Dynasties.This development process from complex to simple is conscious of the history of literature.
