外交语言是一门正式,保守,精确,易于理解,礼貌机智,具有说服力的语言。有些时候场合基于外交需要,外交语言违反合作原则,呈现出用语模糊的特点。本文将利用文体学基本理论分析外交语言对合作原则的违反及达到的效果,使读者对于外交辞令的模糊性有更好的了解,促进人际国际交流。

Diplomatic language is a formal, conservative, precise, intelligible, polite and tactful and persuasive language. However, due to diplomatic needs on many occasions, violation of CP does occur, hence vagueness of diplomatic language. Utilizing basic stylistic theories, this thesis will make an analysis of diplomatic language＇s violation of CP and its maxims in order to achieve a better understanding of the vagueness of diplomatic English, which will surely benefit interpersonal and international communication.
