马克思主义区别于人类其他文化的一个重要特征就是其批判性和革命性。因为辩证法的本性是批判的、革命的,无产阶级的阶级本性是批判的、革命的,马克思主义哲学的根本功能是"改变世界",马克思主义的发展史本身就是批判的、革命的历史。这一显著特征要求马克思主义理论工作者必须运用马克思主义的立场、观点、方法批判和变革现实,必须对当代社会现实做出真假、对错、善恶、美丑的独立判断和深刻分析,必须努力把马克思主义从书本里解放出来,同当代中国实际相结合,使之成为人民群众实践活动的物质武器,必须对形形色色的教条主义和"左"右倾机会主义思潮作坚决的斗争。

The important feature of Marxism different from other human cultures is its critical and revolutionary nature.This feature requires the theorists of Marxism criticize and change the reality with Marxist stance,viewpoint and methodologies,make independent judgments and deep analysis of the social reality between true and false,right and wrong,good and evil,beautiful and ugly,strive to liberate Marxism from books and make it the material weapons of people's practice,and firmly struggle with all kinds of dogmatism as well as 'left' and right opportunism.
