摘要 词汇是英语学习的基础,学生词汇量的大小影响学生英语听说读写译水平的提高。在大学英语词汇教学中,教师应该根据认知心理学的知识,创设语境加深学生对单词的理解。同时,教师应该加强学生词汇学习方法的引导,要求学生勤查词典,摘抄、积累英语词汇,并定期进行检查,以促进学生及时复习,提高词汇学习效果。 Words are the basic elements of English language.Th e amount of words a student can master determines his ability of reading,speaki ng,listening,writing and interpretation between English and other languages.A n English teacher should use the knowledge of cognitive psychology to teach voca bulary in class,such as creating meaningful context to let the students underst and the words more deeply.On the other hand,an English teacher should help the students master scientific approaches of vocabulary learning,such as looking t he word up in the dictionary the first time it appears,noting down the importan t common words in the notebook,etc.Students must review the words they learned without delay,so as to improve the efficiency of vocabulary learning.
