Statistical Analysis toward Mayan Prophecy

随着好莱坞大片《2012》对全球的"空袭",加上世界各地大型灾难频繁发生,"世界末日"的预言愈发摄魂。鉴于当今关于预言与灾难的声音越来越多以及该问题的公众影响力越来越大,我们针对灾难是否与预言有关以及影响灾难发生的因素等问题,收集了1810年至2010年全球发生的大型灾难数据,并对相关数据进行了统计分析和预测推断。

As the Hollywood blockbuster ＂2012＂ impact continues to reverberate through the whole world, and global catastrophes occur more frequently in these years, the Mayan 2012 Doom＇ s Day Prophecy seems convincing e- nough. Due to stronger controversy about the prophecy and its intensive public influence, we did research and statistical analysis of world catastrophes during 1810 and 2010, and made inference and prediction of future disasters, in order to study whether catastrophes are related to the prophecy and to state factors that affect their occurrences.
