Microbial flocculants is a new,safe and nontoxic flocculant.Some aspects are reviewed in the paper,for instance,Classification of microbial flocculation actiont,the possible mechanisms of microbial flocculation action,and the factors affecting the production of microbial flocculants.In addition,practical applications in the field of environmental pollution of microbial flocculants are also introduced.The future development prospects of the research of microbial flocculants are indicated at last.
