This paper presents a brief introduction to Zhuyin Xinjiang Huiwen Changyong Zibiao published in 1938, a Chagatai-Chinese glossary of everyday terms with phonetic notation. It is an important literature for the study of the Chagatai language in the mid-20^th century, reflecting the features of both the Mandarin Phonetic Symbols and the Chagatai language, the former stage of the Uyghur language.
