On Chinese - Type Progressive Reforms

中国走向市场经济的道路，可以称之为中国式的渐进革命。中国走向市场经济不能说已经取得成功，还处在转轨的阵痛之中，但取得了举世公认的成就；中国走向市场经济的道路也不是有利无弊的路，但它毕竟是一条可行的路，是利大弊小的选择。中国式的渐进改革这个命题有三层含义：第一，它是一场符合时代发展要求的革命；第二，它具有符合客观规律的渐进性；第三，它是符合中国国情的道路。

The process of China marching towards the market economy can beregarded as an evolu tionary revolution with Chinese characteristics. It can not be said that China has succeeded in completing the market economy. On the contrary, China's economic system is undergoing the pain of mechanism transformation. Although the market economy is not advantageous in all aspects, it is a feasible choice moreadvantageous than disadvantageous. The title of this article has three meanings: (1)reform is a revolution satisfying the needs of the development of our times, (2) it has an evolutionary quality in accord with the objective law, and (3) it is the road to success suitable to Chinese context.
