摘要
楚共王,是春秋时期有名的君主,其一生有"葴"、"审"二名。关于二名之间的关系,目前学术界的普遍观点是:"葴"、"审"二字,读音相近,一也,皆为楚共王名。征诸史料,该观点值得商榷。楚王践祚后照例有易名的传统,"葴"、"审"二名,应是楚共王在不同历史时期的不同称谓。
Prince Gong of Chu（楚共王） was a famous monarch in the Spring and Autumn Period;he had two names,one was Zhen（葴）,the other being Shen（审）.On the relationship between the two names,the scholars agree that two names are the same,due to similar pronunciation.According to ancient literatrues,this view does not hold.Prince Gong of Chu often changes his name after he ascended the throne.Zhen and Shen must have been used by Prince Gong of Chu（楚共王） in different historical periods.
