摘要
词汇意义的认知研究关注的是词汇使用中的动态意义,对这一领域的探索已成为认知语言学研究的一个热点。通过对300名中国大学生英语词汇认知能力的调查发现:①无论语言水平高低,中国英语学习者的词汇认知能力明显弱于综合语言能力;②受试者的词汇认知能力和综合语言能力存在较高程度的相关;③两组受试从典型意义的理解到推理过程的步骤及语境意义的产生呈现较为明显的递减趋势。最后,文章试图解释导致这一现象的原因。
Dynamic meaning has attracted more attention in cognitive linguistics. This study investigates the lexical cognitive ability among Chinese English learners. It reveals that the participants' lexical cognitive ability is apparently lower than their language ability; their lexical cognitive ability is closely correlated to their language ability; there is an obvious decreasing tendency from the subjects' understanding typical lexical meaning to inferring processes and producing contextual meaning. Finally, several reasons are rendered to explain the findings.
