摘要 为增强三维场景中物体的真实感,展现物体局部细节特征,文章提出了一种基于区域增长和三角分割的局部纹理贴图映射算法。该算法以用户指定点为中心点,将包含该点三角面作中介面,通过将邻接平面展平到中介平面上,在一定范围内扩展该映射区域,计算区域内顶点纹理坐标。对于部分超过范围的三角面,通过求切线交点的方法进行三角分割,直至获得贴图的合适映射区域。算法成功应用于针织物外观模拟展示系统,很好地实现了在不规则三维物体上的局部区域纹理映射。 In order to enhance the reality and details of objects in 3D virtual scenes,an algorithm for regional texture mapping based on region growing and triangulation is proposed.In the algorithm,an intermediary surface which contains a user specified central point is located,and all its adjacent triangular faces are projected onto it.Around the central point,all triangular faces and their neighbors within a specified bound are added to the region one by one and the regional vertex texture coordinate is calculated.The triangular faces which cross the specified bound will be divided into smaller ones by triangulation.The procedure will be continued until a proper region for texture mapping is obtained.The algorithm has been successfully used in a weft-knitted fabric simulation system.It is quite effective in regional texture mapping especially for irregular 3D objects.
