如何把握城市快速路的建设时机是众多发展中的大城市在构建面向未来的交通系统过程中正在面对或即将面对的问题。在中国城市交通发展模式转型和创新的背景下,探讨如何针对特定的时间、特定的城市正确决策快速路的建设。首先梳理国内外城市快速路的发展历程,分析快速路区别于一般城市道路的特征。提出将城镇化、机动化和区域化水平作为判定城市快速路建设的先决条件及评判标准。最后,以南昌市为例,依次分析快速路建设的先决条件,指出南昌市应尽快启动城市快速路建设,为城市未来发展提供充分支持。

How to seize the development opportunity for urban ex-pressway is or will be a challenge facing many urban areas in building/planning their future metropolitan transportation systems.Considering the transformation and innovation of urban transportation develop-ment process in china,this paper discusses how to make effective deci-sion for urban expressway development in different times and for vari-ous cities.By reviewing the urban expressway development both at home and abroad,the paper summarizes the characteristics of express-way that are different from other urban roadways.The paper proposes the requirements and evaluation criteria for urban expressway develop-ment in three aspects：levels of urbanization,motorization and region-alization.Finally,taking Nanchang as an example,the paper analyzes three urban expressway development requirements and points out that it is necessary for Nanchang to develop urban expressway as soon as possible to sufficiently support the future development of the city.
