铜元研究状况述评

Commentary on the Research on Copper Coin

各时期铜元研究的情况主要可以分为对铜元产生、铸造方面的研究,铜元流通方面的研究和铜元相关货币思想和货币制度方面的研究。通过对以上研究的梳理,本文得出铜元作为近代日常交易中使用的小额货币,备受学者们关注的原因是,铜元铸行混乱等诸多问题比近代其他货币更加凸现了当时经济、社会、政治中的问题。虽然这些研究涉猎了铜元的各个方面,但是还不够深入,缺乏从铜元流通与商品流通的关系和铜元价格波动引起的通货膨胀等宏观经济的角度系统地分析铜元对经济、社会的影响。

The research on copper coin can be divided into categories of copper coin production, casting, circulation, monetary thought and system. By reviewing the above research, this paper educes that copper coin is a kind of minor coin in daily trading in modem China. The reason why scholars focused on copper coin is that copper coin highlighted the economic, social and political issues compared with other currencies in modern China by its casting and circulation confu- sion. While these studies deal with various aspects of copper coin, they are not deep enough. They lack a systematic analysis of the impact of copper coin on economy and society from the macro-economic point of view such as the relationship between copper coin circulation and commodity circulation, and the inflation caused by price fluctuations.
