中华人民共和国成立50年来,一直奉行独立自主和平外交政策,高举反对霸权主义、维护世界和平的大旗,同美、苏等新老霸权主义者进行了长期不懈的坚决斗争。新中国50年来的反霸斗争昭示我们:霸权主义不可能长期肆虐下去,最终逃脱不了失败的厄运。中国人民不怕压、不信邪,敢于和霸权主义作斗争。中华人民共和国在50年来的反霸斗争中壮大起来。今后,中国人民将在邓小平理论和党的基本路线指引下,继续坚定不移地贯彻执行独立自主的和平外交政策,坚决维护国家的主权和安全,坚决反对霸权主义,维护世界和平;坚定不移地把改革开放、建设有中国特色的社会主义事业全面推向21世纪,致力于中华民族的伟大复兴。

Over the past 50 years after the founding of the People's Republic of China,New China has persistently pursued the independent foreign policy of peace,upheld the banner against hegemonism and for the safeguarding of world peace and waged a protracted struggle against old and new hegemonists——America,Russia,etc. New China's struggle against hegemonism over the past 50 years shows that neither can hegemonism last long nor can it escape its final failure.The Chinese People don't believe in heresy or fear being oppressed nor do they fear to struggle against hegemonism.The People's Republic of China has become powerful in the struggle against hegemonism over the past 50 years.In future,China will still be on guard against hegemonism.Under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping Theory and the basic lines of the Party,China will firmly carry out the independent foreign policy of peace,oppose hegemonism,resolutely safeguard the state sovereignty and its safety and world peace,devote itself to the great revival of the Chnese nation and the lofty cause of human peace and development,and completely carry the cause of reform and opening up and the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics onward into the 21st century.
