A design of system for cylinder surface detection is introduced. Based on the process for human to observe cylinder, the paper proposes an approach to detect the cylinder surface that is changed into a plan. The relationship between algorithm and the detected object in real time detection is discussed with an real example of image processing. And some practical principle is also concluded.
