Trust and Trustworthiness in Medical Over-treatment

综合了伦理学、法学和经济学对过度医疗的研究,从医患双方各自的资源、权力和利益等角度出发,认为在过度医疗中,医患双方在信任和可信任性上表现为明显的不对称性,即患者对医生有较高的不信任性,医生容易同具有相似社会经济地位的的患者发展出良好的信任-可信任性。

This article reviews different opinions in terms of ethics, laws, and economics, and then by probing into the division of recourses, power, and interests between patients and physicians, the article emphasizes on the apparent asymmetry between positions of physicians and patients within medical therapy. In other words, there is the high distrust of patients towards physicians in over-treat therapy, and their trust-trustworthiness is strongly associated with their social-economic status.
