Successful application of a clinical pathway needs corresponding information base.This article outlines the concept of clinical pathways and the relationship between clinical pathway management and the electronic medical record system,introduce the continuous improvement of clinical information system flow process and clinical information construction method which with a clinical pathway as the core.We should develop clinical pathway management process on the basis of electronic medical record system by continuously improving health care business process.
