被誉为同情女性的经典《一个陌生女人的来信》,处处呈现出男权传统的性别化规约。出生下层的女性身体的发展路线其实由两种力量趋动:其一是一种病态的下层女子对青年知识男性肉体的疯狂渴望;其二是这种肉欲的渴望又附着了上层贵妇人对浪漫爱情的虚拟想象。充斥着传统性相观念的男性隐含作者,不自觉地以一个女性叙述人、引诱者的名义,敷设了一个维护既定性别秩序的现代神话。

the novel ＂the Letter from a Strange Woman＂, known for its female standpoint, represented a gender tendency of male -chauvinism throughout. As a girl of underlying origin, her physical desires are driven by two forces usually： one is the lower girl＇s pathological sensual to the upper male intellect; the other is the upper lady＇s virtual image to romantic love. The novel is full of male gender virtue and holds the standing position of a hidden male author on the one hand, and constructs a modern myth de- fending male -chauvinism gender tradition by disguising unconsciously a female narrator, a seducer on the other hand.
