摘要
英国思想家阿尔弗雷德.诺思.怀特海作为机体(过程)哲学的创始人,其教育目的观深受其机体(过程)哲学的影响,同时还源于他对现代人自由的丧失和教育异化的深刻反思。怀特海提出教育的目的是造就既有文化又掌握专门知识的人才,为此,教育是一种融知识在内的(文化)智慧教育,教育的最高目的是培养具有责任感和崇敬感的人才。
Great British thinker A. N. Whitehead is the founder of process philosophy. His idea on the aims of education was affected heavily by his process philosophy and also resulted from his deeply rethinking of modem society and education. He pointed out that the aims of education are to produce men who possess both culture and expert knowledge in some special direction. As a result, education is a kind of culture (embedded knowledge) and wisdom education and its ultimate aim is to cultivate persons bearing duty and reverence
