Meta-cognitive Strategies and College English Study

在《大学英语课程教学要求》颁布和实施以后,大学英语教学就产生了很大的变化,把重心从教师转向了大学生,不再是进行单纯的语言知识和技能的传授,而是需要注重大学生语言运用能力的培养和大学生的自主学习能力的培养。文章结合大学生英语学习的实际,介绍了元认知策略在大学英语学习中的作用。

After Teaching Requirements for College English Course for the promulgation and implementation, college English teaching has been changed a lot. The centre of it has been turned from the teachers to the students. It is not the pure impartation of language knowledge and skills, but the cultivation of college students＇ ability of language application and capability of self-learning. Linking with the practical conditions of college students＇English study, this essay introduces the function of Meta-cognitive Strategies in the college English studies.
