再论《三国志》书法的研读

Studying the Calligraphy of The Annals of Three Kingdoms

自瓯北(赵翼)在其《廿二史札记》一书给《三国志》的书法定下专门以"曲笔"替曹魏"讳败夸胜为得体"的"铁案"之后,历来有史界名家力主此说并为之张目,致播及社会人云亦云,信而不疑者甚众。然而,当我们平心细究《三国志》,发现瓯北给《三国志》书法定性为"曲笔回护"的论据是根本不存在、不真实的,其所得出的结论也因此是不可靠、不能成立的。研读《三国志》的书法是一个很严肃的事,需要尊重客观真实的历史和科学求证的严谨态度。不重视权威名人的研究成果固然是不可取的,而对他们盲目崇信同样也是有害的。

Since Ou Bei（ZhaoYi） decided on an ironclad case that the calligraphy of The Annals of Three Kingdoms used ＂deliberate digression in writing＂ specially trying to please the authorities of the CaoWei Dynasty regardless of the historical facts in his book The Reading Notes of Twenty - two Histories, all through the ages there were many famous experts in history circles holding this point and boosting it. Moreover, when it was disseminated to the society, so many people echoed this view and trusted it with no doubt. However, if we study The Annals of Three Kingdoms with a calm and careful attitude,we will find that the argument Ou Bei insists on is nonexistence and truthless thoroughly. So the consequence he got was also unreliable and untenable. Studying the calligraphy of The Annals of Three Kingdoms is an extremely serious thing. Respecting the objective and the tree history and attitude of seeking evidence rigorously and scientificly are both needed. No doubt it is undesirable to take the authorities research achievement seriously and it will be harmful if we worship them blindly as well
