摘要
都市是现代性经验的来源,而伦敦给伍尔夫提供了体验和探索现代性的最佳场所。在有着"伦敦小说"美誉的《达洛维夫人》中,伦敦的都市空间特征从以下方面得以书写和呈现:都市景观与对日常生活的批判、异样的"都市漫游者"与异化的心灵、都市阶层与权力的地理学。小说有着伍尔夫关于都市性和现代性问题的态度和思考,也给人们认识当时的伦敦及其现代性提供了一个视角。
Metropolis is the source of modern experience and London is the best place for Virginia Woolf to experience and explore modernity. In Mrs. Dalloway, the ＂ London novel＂ , features of the urban space are presented in the following aspects： metropolitan landscape and critique of the daily urban life; different flgneurs and alienated psyches; metropolitan strata and geography of power. The novel not only shows Woolfs attitude towards the metropolis and modern issues but also provides us with a perspective from which to perceive London of that time and its modernity.
