Democracy,Income Distribution and the Quality of Government:an Analysis on Relations

在民主化比较研究中,民主政体的实际效应一直是理论家所关心的问题。这些问题主要是指民主政体到底对收入水平和政府质量产生怎样的影响?经验研究表明,当我们在考察民主政体的实际效应时,事实上这些被看作是效应的因素同样也会反作用于民主制度的运行。因此,本文侧重于考察民主政体、收入水平以及政府质量之间的相互关系,并分析这种关系背后所蕴含的因果逻辑机制。通过研究,我们发现三者之间的关系是非常复杂的,但是总体上倾向于一种正相关的关系。

The effects of democracy are constantly concerned by scholars in the field of comparative democratization studies. It mainly refers to answer the effects of democracy towards income distribution and the quality of government. Empirical studies remind us that those variables regarded as results can act responsibly towards the process of democracy regimes. Therefore, the paper pays a close attention to the relationships between democracy, income distribution and the quality of government and analysis the causal mechanism beyond. Finally, we find those three variables have a positive relation between each other on the whole, although the factual situation is more complicated.
