从消费的视角看中国民办高等教育的经济贡献

An Analysis of Economic Contribution of Chinese Private Higher Education:From the Perspectiveof Consumption

近三十年来,中国民办高等教育快速发展,在整个高等教育系统中起到了愈加重要的作用。文章从消费功能的视角出发,分别从民办高校经费收支情况、学生消费的经济效应、基建投资的经济效应三方面,考察了我国民办高校对国家经济增长的短期贡献率。总体来讲,民办高等教育对经济增长的短期效果有一定的促进作用,但是这种经济贡献十分有限,这取决高等教育部门本身的产出乘数和影响力系数低于平均水平。

With the rapid development of private higher education in China in last thirty years, it plays a more and more important role in higher education system. From perspective of consumption, this paper analyzed the short-term effect of Students＇ consumption and infrastructure expenses in private institutions on the national economic growth. Generally speaking, private higher education plays some positive role in short-term economic growth, but the effect is limited and it is related with the multiplier of production and it will exist when the effect of higher education department is lower than average level.
