The breakdown cases of double layer fiat cover of four Ф3.8m tube mills in the two cement plants of Benxi and Gongyuan were introduced roundly, and the breakdown causes were analysed from many aspects of crack position, end-cover structure and stress and the material. It was pointed out that the theoretical derivation in dokumentation[4] was wrong, warning that the structure of double layer fiat cover no longer be applied to avoid more economic loss.
