普遍语法论和认知语言学代表了两种不同本质的语言哲学观,在解释二语习得时体现了一定程度的对立性。但两者并不完全是对立关系,而是处于语言习得理论研究连续系统的两端。两个理论系统的结合与互补,可以更全面地解释二语习得。

Universal grammar and cognitive linguistics represent two different linguistic philosophies,which reflect contradiction to some degree while interpreting second language acquisition.Universal Grammar and Cognitive Linguistics are not completely contradictary.They stand at the two ends of the continuous systems of the theory of second language.The combination and complementary of the two theory systems can explain the nature of second language more reasonably.
