论中国传统翻译诗学的文化通约性

On commensurability in Chinese poetics of translation and Chinese culture

中国传统翻译理论具有诗学的、隐喻的特质,这与中国传统文化是一脉相承的。而西方翻译理论的特质是逻辑的、演绎式的,以推陈出新为常态。中国传统翻译诗学具有中国文化特有的兼容性及本土化能力,故而能在全球化语境中纳新不吐故,既汲取西学精华又不失去自我。中国翻译诗学这一兼收并蓄持续发展的机制,足以说明其形态存在的合理性。

Categorically speaking,traditional Chinese translation theory is of a poetic and metaphorical nature,sharing strong commensurability with traditional Chinese culture,while western translation theories are more characteristic of science.With its localizing capability and stable compatibility with alien theories,Chinese poetics of translation in the context of globalization today has been able to localize whatever it needs from western theories without losing its own identity.This sustainability somewhat explains why it has survived throughout all these two thousand years.
