It has always been a hot issue to develop students ＇ ability of autonomous learning in university educa tion in China.Taking a specific course as an example,this paper analyzes the differences between the author ＇ s col lege life in China and in York St.John University through three aspects including classroom teaching,out-of-class study and evaluation.The paper aims to explore a more effective model for improving college students ＇ autonomous learning ability.
