Appreciation of Eaves Tiles with Four Gods of Han Hynasty

秦汉王朝是中国封建社会的强盛时期，秦砖汉瓦作为这一历史阶段鲜明的文化符号，是秦汉文化重要的组成部分．特别是随着中国经济的全面发展，秦砖汉瓦的研究已越来越受到专家学者和各界人士的高度重视．通过对近年来陕西汉代遗址出土的四神瓦当的研究和分析，揭示古代先民在建筑装饰、造型设计、审美意识诸方面的特点．

The Qin and Han Dynasties were flourishing and prosperous in the history of the Chinese feudal society; the bricks in Qin Dynasty and eaves in the Han Dynasty were the distinctive cultural symbols of this historic period and the important components of its culture. With the rapid economic development in China, research into the bricks in the Qin Dynasty and eaves in the Han Dynasty has a- roused public concern from experts, scholars and people from all circles. This paper studies and analy- zes the eaves tiles with four gods excavated over the recent years in the ruins of the Han Dynasty in Shaanxi Provincem and reveals the features of these ancient people＇s architectural decoration, style design and aesthetic consciousness, etc.
