As to the question (1) of problem A in CMCM-99,this article at first uses the objective function to obtain a sufficient condition under which the optimal solution to knife\|replacement period T is less than μ and the lower bound for optimal check period under general circumstances, and then proves that the optimal solution to the knife\|replacement period in question(1) is less than 551, while the one to check period is greater than 7.
