摘要
评价理论是在系统功能语言学三大纯理功能之一的人际功能基础中发展起来的,是对系统功能语言学的新发展,属于阐释性研究。它由态度、介入和级差三部分组成,关注的是语篇中的评价资源,包括语篇中可协商的各种态度及这些态度评价的来源。评价理论为我们阐释语篇的人际意义提供了一个很好的分析框架。以评价理论为框架对《葛底斯堡演说》语篇进行分析,旨在发掘其评价资源及实现人际意义的手段。
Appraisal theory, a kind of interpretive study, is a new development of the interpersonal functional system which is one of the three meta -functional theories in Systemic Functional Linguistics. It consists of three parts, namely attitude, engagement, andgraduation concerned with appraisal resources, including varieties of attitudes negotiable in a text and the ways in which values are sourced. Appraisal theory provides a new suitable theoretical framework to interpret interpersonal meaning. This paper analyzes"Gettysburg Address" within the framework of appraisal theory and aims to explore the appraisal resources and the means to realize the interpersonal meaning.
