This paper tries to make a contrastive analysis on the figures of speech from the aspect of Hall＇s High Context Culture and Low Context Culture, and compares the differences between these two cultures from repetition, omission, antithesis, ere, with ample examples. Mastering the differences in figures of speech in High Context Culture and Low Context Culture could help the cross-cultural communication go more smoothly, avoid misunderstanding and facilitate communication.
