Forensic Medicine and Lunar Phases

月相(Lunar phase)是天文学中对于地球上看到的月球被太阳照明部分的称呼,有较固定的循环周期,包括新月、上弦月、满月、下弦月等,不同的月相对动植物会产生影响。本文从法医学的视角出发,回顾多年来对人的攻击性、意外事故、疾病导致的猝死等事件与月相间联系的研究成果,表明月相与意外事故、猝死的发生有一定联系,而攻击性行为与月相的关系研究结果不尽一致,可能是因为研究设计、方法、范围、例数、时期等因素的差异。

In astronomy, lunar phases are indicated by the sun＇s reflected light on that luninated portion of the moon that can be seen from earth. This includes the new moon, first quarter, full moon, and last quarter lunar phases. The cycle period of 28 days is relatively steady. Growth rates of animals and plants change in different lunar phases. From the perspective of forensic medicine, reports about relationship between lunar phases and humans＇ aggression, accidents, and sudden death were reviewed in this paper, so that we could find out the chrono-biology rules of these events. The relationship between accidents, sudden death and lunar phases were suggested. Due to the different designs, methods, scopes, sample sizes, and years of research, there were different results as to the relationship between humans＇ aggressions and lunar phases. According to the research results from experimental animals, humans＇ endogenous hormones and behaviors should change by lunar phases were suggested.
