东正教是俄罗斯的国教,整合了基督教和俄罗斯多神教元素而成。《大师与玛格丽特》是苏联作家布尔加科夫的经典作品之一。作品以《圣经.新约》彼拉多审判耶稣的故事为原型,以撒旦及其随从降临莫斯科为主线,对上帝存在与否、生与死、善与恶、光明与黑暗等宗教性主题进行了探讨,塑造了一个全新的魔鬼形象,书写了一部"魔鬼的福音书"。作品描写的虽然是基督教的主题,却在不经意间总能见到多神教的影子,彰显了俄罗斯文化的特点。
