Recognition Methods of Characters in Carved-stone in Wei-Jin-Nanbei Dynasty

魏晋南北朝石刻文字,因其过渡性和多书体的交叉影响,从一定程度上增加了释读的难度;碑的残泐和工具书的缺少也是影响释读的因素。为使释读科学准确,就要有一定的方法。这些方法主要有语境限定法、构件合证法、历时追索法、共时比勘法、事理推断法以及上述方法的两种或两种以上的共同使用的综合法。

Recognition of characters in carved-stone in Wei-Jin-Nanbei dynasty is very difficult, because of its transitional feature, affect each other of characters form, faintness and fracture of stone tablet, a small number of reference books. In order to correctness, we need some methods, such as context restrictions, prove from characters elements, searching from its history, and so on. But it is noteworthy that all of these methods must be use comprehensively.
