Focusing on the contiguity relationship in the cognitive frame,the application of contiguity in the process of Japanese metonymy thinking and language generation in terms of space,time,semantics,and logic is discussed.By analyzing some specific examples,the viable approach can be provided for Japanese beginners who are expected to enhance the ability of understanding and utilizing the metonymy language and hence explain other more language phenomena.
