Thread, as a quite influential literature periodical in the late 1920s, has important values and significances in literature history. Based on the correspondence column in Thread, which was then headquartered in Beijing, the paper analyzes the culture space in academic circles at that time, to better show the special choice of modernity by intellects and their personal trudges in concrete his- torical circumstances.
